While blind dates are usually with someone you don't know, there are some things you can do to give the evening a better chance of success. First, make sure that the person setting you up knows what you like in a date! It sounds simple, but good-intentioned matchmakers often impose their own standards on their unsuspecting friends. Second, find out as much information about your date as possible before hand so you can avoid being 'blind-sided' by the unexpected. And finally, go with another couple or a group of friends.
